Why work from Joie de Vivre
Joie de Vivre is a hand-built home in Sashbani–Letibunga village near Mukteshwar, quiet enough to focus and beautiful enough to make breaks count. Work through the morning at the desk, take calls from the glass conservatory, and finish the day with a walk to the waterfall or a bonfire under the stars.

Your workspace
- The Valley Attic: a king bedroom with a writing desk, a balcony over the valley and a cushioned attic for breaks. See the room.
- The glass conservatory: bright, quiet and surrounded by mountains, with a chessboard for thinking time.
- The long dining table: room to spread out, or for a small team to work together.
- Connectivity: high-speed Wi-Fi with inverter power backup; we suggest a mobile hotspot as a backup for important calls.

Workation FAQs

The house has high-speed Wi-Fi and inverter power backup, which guests have used for long work stays. As in any hill area, we suggest carrying a mobile hotspot as a backup for important calls.
Is there a proper place to work?
Yes. The Valley Attic has a writing desk and a balcony over the valley, and the glass conservatory and long dining table make good workspaces too.
Do you offer long-stay rates?
Our listed rates start at ₹6,500 a night for a weekday attic room, with breakfast included. For stays of a week or more, message us your dates and we'll share a long-stay quote.
What about meals during a workation?
Breakfast is included, and our cook Naresh makes home-cooked Kumaoni and North Indian meals with local produce, so you don't have to think about food.
Can a team come for an offsite?
Yes. Teams can take the whole 3 BHK villa, or groups of six or more can choose the all-inclusive retreat with all meals, guided walks and yoga.
